About BYU-Pathway
BYU-Pathway is an online college program where you can earn certificates and degrees that can build toward a bachelor's degree.
Students start their certificates and degree program through PathwayConnect, a foundational set of academic and religion courses that help students see increased success.
You'll complete coursework each week with assignments that help you stay on track throughout each two-month block.
You'll meet weekly with a small group with other students (called a Gathering) for support and encouragement, either online or in person.
Most new students spend about 9 to 15 hours each week on their studies. This includes coursework, studying, and participating in the weekly Gatherings.
Tuition is adjusted based on where you live to help make education more affordable around the world. You can view your country's tuition before registering for courses.
Most coursework is completed online using a computer. While some activities can be completed on a phone, regular access to a computer and reliable internet will help you be successful.
About the Application
The application is free.
Most applications take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
Some students will complete an English language assessment as part of the application. This helps us understand your English language ability and place you in the program that is right for you. The assessment usually takes less than 40 minutes.
You can save your application and finish it later.
We will use the information in your application to recommend which program you should start with (EnglishConnect or PathwayConnect for new students). You will make that final selection near the end of the application.
Your safety matters to us. Please review these tips to recognize scams:
- BYU-Pathway will never ask you to send money to a person. Pay tuition only through your student portal.
- Official messages come from byupw.edu or byupathway.edu email addresses or from your mentor listed in “My Success Team” in your portal.
- Never share your password or financial information.
- Be careful if someone offers special benefits. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
